NOW HIRING: Maintenance Technician

Lewis County Government is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician.

The maintenance technician is responsible for a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of county buildings, facilities, equipment, vehicles and grounds. These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: carpentry, glazier, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry and grounds work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic understanding of the above listed trades

• Basic mechanical knowledge

• Ability to perform a variety of physical labor including bending, kneeling, reaching

• Proven experience, education or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job

• Good work references

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting pay: $18 per hour

• Optional health, vision, dental, short-term & long-term disability insurance, and Air Evac

• Mandatory state retirement through TCRS

• 1 sick day earned per month

• 1 week of vacation after first year of full-time employment
