Lewis County Government is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician!


The maintenance technician is responsible for a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of county buildings, facilities, equipment, vehicles and grounds. These duties include, but are not limited to, the following: carpentry, glazier, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry and grounds work.


Minimum Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of the above listed trades

- Basic mechanical knowledge

- Ability to perform a variety of physical labor including bending, kneeling, reaching

- Proven experience, education or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job

- Good work references


Compensation and Benefits:

- Starting pay: $18 per hour

- Optional health, vision, dental, short-term & long-term disability insurance, and Air Evac

- Mandatory state retirement through TCRS

- 1 sick day earned per month

- 1 week of vacation after first year of full-time employment

- Paid county holidays, administrative days & inclement weather days

- Free $15,000 employee life insurance policy
