Four-Lane Highway Project Update

On Monday, January 12, County Commissioners unanimously approved a Resolution requesting State funding to complete TDOT’s long-planned SR-166 four-lane highway project, connecting Hohenwald to Mt. Pleasant.

This project would be a game changer for Lewis County by improving travel safety, providing faster access to emergency medical care, strengthening economic development opportunities, and supporting tourism and workforce connectivity for our community.

I emailed the Resolution to our state legislators yesterday, and I also mailed it and a formal letter to Governor Bill Lee this morning, asking for his support to finally see this important project completed.

Commissioners and I stand united in support of this four-lane connection, and we will continue advocating for the infrastructure our citizens have been promised and deserve.
